Race Report: Summer Blast @ Redmond Watershed
Chalk up another marathon to Tracy M. Â This time a trail marathon last Saturday, Aug.23rd. Â “It is a 4-loop course through the forest along the beautiful (non technical) trails of the watershed. Â It is a relatively inexpensive and very well organized event with excellent aid stations (i.e. lots of real food). Â No matter how hot it gets, it is always shaded and cool. Â This is an event well worth the drive down to Redmond”. Â Thanks Tracy for the report.
This race also had a 5 mi, 10 mi, and half marathon course for those not wanting a marathon.  It features a flat to moderate-grade course with a few short steep climbs. The entire course is lined with beautiful forest of Douglas firs, lush ferns and layered with moss–a quintessential Pacific Northwest forest. The trail is primarily a wide dirt or gravel path, and is great for beginners and fun for veteran trail runners. This is a fast course by trail running standards.  Info on this race and other NW trail races in WA can be found at nwtrailruns.com .
