SAA Charity Fund
The purpose of the SAA Charity Fund is to provide monetary donations to charities in line with the Steveston Athletic Association’s mission statement. This fund is a way for the club and its members to give back to the community we live and participate in.

2010 SAA Charity Fund Recipients:
Each of the two 2010 SAA Charity Fund recipients received a donation of $1250 from the SAA.
Kidsport British Columbia, Richmond Community Chapter
KidSport™ believes that no kid should be left on the sidelines and all should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. 2009 SAA Charity Fund Recipients:
Each of the 2009 SAA Charity Fund recipients received a $500 donation from the SAA.
BC Cancer Foundation via the Marthon of Hope
The first charity is the BC Cancer Foundation via the Marathon to Hope started by Jamie Andrews of McMath Secondary in Steveston. In Spring Break 2010, Jamie will be running from Steveston to Hope, BC to raise money for the BC Cancer Foundation. Check out his blog and Facebook page to follow his journey.
Kidsport British Columbia, Richmond Community Chapter
Kidsport British Columbia, Richmond Community Chapter, provides grants are used toward the cost of existing seasoned sports such as Rapids swimming and Seafair Hockey. You can view the Kidsport website for more information.

2011 SAA Charity Fund

To apply, download the SAA Charity Application Form. Once you’ve completed the form, send it or deliver a printed copy to a member of the SAA Charity Committee. The Charity Committee will then review the applications once the submission deadline has passed. Here’s your chance to have a say in how the SAA gives back to the community, so raise your voice and submit an application.

- Dec 30, 2011 – Deadline for Charity Form submission to Charity Committee
