Summer SAA Pancake Breakfast

Our second annual SAA pancake breakfast will take place on Sunday August 22nd after the morning run.

Date:                   Sunday August 22, 2010
Time:                   After the morning run around 9:30am
Location:               Common room at 12333 English Ave
On the Menu:    Pancakes, bacon, baked goods, fruit, tea and coffee

Delta Tri – Post Race Party: April 24

You don’t have to be doing the race to come to the party!!!! All spouses, families and significant others are more than welcome, too!

What: Celebration of completing/attending/volunteering the Delta Tri!!!
When: April, 24 any time after 4:00ish
Where: Rob and Heather’s 5570 Chestnut Cres in Ladner (we live on the run course and I will put balloons on the fence near our house!!!)

Other info:
Please bring -a salad or appetizer (we tend to have lots of chips and dip, so maybe you could be a little more creative!!!)
                     -a chair (we’ll be outside if the weather allows)
                     -something to Barbeque, if you wish
                     -something to drink, if you wish!!!
                      -triathlon stories and lots of laughs!

We hope that everyone will be able to come! It’s usually lots of fun (and an early evening)!!!!

Monday, September 28th at 6:30pm on the Boardwalk in Steveston (exact location to be announced)
All club members are encouraged to attend wearing SAA gear, if you don’t own any, please borrow. If you own multiple SAA uniform tops then please bring some extra to lend to others for the picture. Group photo will be taken of club members only.

Dave’s Fish and Chips
Monday, September 28th at 7:00pm sharp. Our Gold Sponsor has welcomed us to have dinner at the restaurant at 7:00pm. They will close the restaurant to the public for us that evening. In order to do that, we must guarantee a minimum of 35 people. Dave’s does have a maximum capacity of 52 so RSVP is required. Please email Amanda at ahillbc@yahoo.ca to RSVP your attendance. This is currently open to club members only. If we do not meet the minimum, we will invite family members as well. Stay tuned.

Burger & Beer Fundraiser – Wrap Up Report

Hello my athlete friends: Our pub night fundraiser for conquer cancer bike ride was a great success, over 100 in attendance and we raised over $3000.00, that is fantastic results. Thank you to all those who contributed time, prizes and donations, best of all, we all had a great time. Fundraising has become a lot easier for me since I realized the proceeds are not for me but for a very worthwhile cause and all I get out of this is a sore ass. Hats off to Amanda Hill for organizing the event and seeing it through from beginning to end, it’s efforts like this that hopefully one day we can live in a world that is free of cancer. Thank you all for attending and god bless.
