Annual Dutch Bakery ride

Calling all cyclists who like Dutch apple pie… and other carbohydrate goodness!   The Annual Lynden Dutch bakery pie ride is this weekend!  The forecast is looking good, so we hope to see lots of people out.  It is a social ride so the pace will not be fast.

The plan is to meet at Peace Arch Provincial Park and head out at 8:30am.  Take the Beach Road exit, and then don’t turn into the Duty Free, but turn left at the Peace Arch Provincial park sign and proceed to the rear parking lot.  Don’t forget to bring your passport or Nexus card, and money or plastic for treats.  Last year Al Pearse had a record breaking number of flats and stole everyone’s tubes and then had to make a detour to a bike store… so I recommend bringing some spare tubes 🙂

Thanks to Lucy and Sonya who are co-leading the ride.  They would like to get a sense of numbers to provide to the bakery (by Friday morning), so please either comment here with your RSVP or let them know personally.

Here is an approximate map of the route.  It shows the correct start location but the end will be back at the start, so it’s approximately 70km total.
