Run for Water Marathon and Subaru Shawnigan Lake Triathlon
Another busy weekend of training and racing in the club.
Tracy M completed the Run for Water Marathon in Abbotsford, BC today and has this race report:
“Today’s Abbotsford Run For Water Marathon was a wet one as it rained the entire time! That being said it was so nice to finally run a race without feeling like I was melting into the pavement! I felt really good today and managed to qualify for Boston with a time of 3:50:27! Rather unexpected but so gratifying!”
Congrats on the Boston qualifier!
On Vancouver Island we had Les P doing the Sprint Distance and David H doing the Olympic Distance of the Subaru Shawnigan Lake Triathlon. Here is a race report from Dave:
“It started off as a wet rainy day, perfect conditions for me, I love racing in the rain, the swim was great. Calm and 17c, came out of the water feeling fresh, transition to bike went well, with a little bit of rain and some rough segments on the road the bike went great but a little long at 44km, the run was an amazing run, flat and just how I like it. This is a race I would recommend to everyone, well organized and as always amazing volunteers.”
Congrats to Dave and Les!
