St. George, Tacoma, Wildflower, and Vancouver

SAA members were out in full force this weekend!  On Saturday, Erin raced the St. George 70.3 race in Utah. In her words, “That was a tough one…but so amazing.”  Well done, Erin.  We admire your toughness … and your blazing fast swimming and great biking!  We look forward to hearing all about what it was like to race on one of the toughest 70.3 race courses around.

Speaking of tough racing experiences, our intrepid marathoner, Tracy, was down in Tacoma this weekend racing not one but two marathons – one on Saturday and another on Sunday!  Tracy says the heat made the 2nd marathon on Sunday tough but she enjoyed the support from her fellow racers in getting herself to the finish lines this weekend.  Keep it up, Tracy and when the racing gets tough you can know that your SAA family is cheering for you too!

We also had Jackie racing with 1000s of other triathletes, at Wildflower – one of California’s biggest triathlon festivals. Add the heat and wind to a challenging course, and it was a tough day out there.  Jackie got a flat tire on the bike but she still managed to race well.  Well done, Jackie.

Back here in beautiful BC, we had several members racing the BMO Marathon. It was a perfect day for the race. Barton and Dianne both raced the full marathon and had great races!  Dianne placed first in her age group.  Well done!

We’re proud of all your performances this weekend.
