Race Report 28 November 2010
This weekend, in Seattle, Tracy Marshall (along with James) ran 2 (yes 2, back to back) marathons.Â
Saturday was the Ghost of Seattle Marathon. More of a fun race, starting at Mt. Baker Park (near Seward Park) and running a flat course. No medals and no tshirts, but, a cheap, fun run with great support from the organizers and the runners and their friends. Tracy took it easy in preparation for Sunday’s run.
And then on Sunday was the Amica Insurance Seattle Marathon. A rolling course, hilly at times through Seattle, with some great views of downtown and Mount Washington. Tracy, on tired legs (and, I’m sure the rest of her body as well) completed her 13th marathon in 9 months – now that has to put Tracy up there in contention as one of the craziest runners from the club.
Also in Seattle doing the half marathon (which is a tough half with some major hills) was Michelle Fox who had a great run as well.
Congratulations to both of you on your races.
