Race Report 14 November 2010
On Saturday on the North Shore, Pat Malaviarachchi was running the Phantom Run Trail Race “a glorious 24km through rolling single track trails around Lynn Valley on the north shore. A bit of rocks, roots and tons of mud!” Pat did very well in his race.
And, on Sunday, was the inaugural Boundary Bay Marathon/Half/10K and 5K. Very flat, mostly on a pebble path with some mud as well (and a wolf running along the waters edge at one point). There was a good showing by SAA member with Benji Chu, Dave Burrows and Tracy Marshall all taking on the Full Marathon, Warren Dueck and George Tiller out for the Half Marathon and Dawne Tiller doing the 5K race. Results were not available at post time, but, everyone had a good race.
Congratulations to all the SAA runners on another great weekend of racing.
Also, a bit of an FYI…Â Â
2010 was the final H2H relay and ultra… for 2011, there will be a Whistler Relay and Ultra on Nov 5, 2011. I did hear that there were some people who were going to try to save the H2H race so stay tuned.
