Olympic Torch Relay – Tues Feb 9th

Just a reminder that our Tuesday night run is cancelled tomorrow, so everyone can catch a view of the Olympic Torch coming through Richmond.

The Torch Relay will begin at No. 5 Road and Steveston Highway at 4:30 PM, and travel all the way to Minoru Park. The whole relay will consist of a 21KM path throughout Richmond with each Torch Bearer running for 300 Meters. The final torch bearer will light the Torch Cauldron at 8:20 PM.

The celebration site at the O Zone in Minoru Park will have its gates open at 5 PM, with entertainment beginning at 6 PM and running all the way to 9 PM, ending the evening with a Fireworks finale.
