Precision Health November Shoe Drive

While on a flight a few months ago, I read an article about a fellow in California who collects used running shoes to donate to less privileged people around Africa. I looked into a charity in Vancouver that might do the same but was shocked to see that was not something that existed. As I looked further into this I realized that people in Vancouver could definitely use the shoes as well, in particular, the Downtown East Side. We decided to run the November Shoe Drive. For the past month we collected shoes in our Richmond and White Rock offices, as well as during our Steveston Athletic Association runs.

Wow!

The shoes were gladly accepted by Covenant House and the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre.  I am very pleased with the response we received, as we managed to collect nearly 200 pairs of shoes!
