Subaru Vancouver Triathlon Airs on Rogers Sportsnet

Tune in Thursday, August 6th to Rogers Sportsnet at 7pm (Pacific) for the airing of the Subaru Vancouver International Triathlon.

 Watch as Magali Tisseyre of Quebec, who currently holds the fastest women’s half ironman time in the world this year, challenges 2008 defending Champion Cheryl Murphy (CAD), Hawaii’s Bree Wee, local professional Christine Fletcher, and American Haley Cooper for the overall title. In the men’s field, see what happens when 5 time Ironman Champion, Jason Shortis (AUS), comes to town to race against 2008 Winner Jasper Blake (CAD) and rookie professional Stephen Kilshaw (CAD). Also included are highlights from the fun “Olympic Battle” where potential 2010 Winter Olympians challenge teams of Summer Olympians from different sports. Olympic Gold Medal Coach Lance Watson also shares his knowledge in the “LifeSport Training Tip” segments.  Also watch SAA greats Colin McKay, Erin Lee, Susan Gelinas, Joel Waithman, Barton Pietras, Brian Flett tackle the local race.

The race takes place in the magnificent setting of the Spanish Banks Beaches with stunning views of the downtown Vancouver skyline and the picturesque North Shore Mountains. Pacific Region air dates and times are as follows (other regions will be announced shortly).
